No Drive

Tough one today.  I ate poorly yesterday (Balance Bar, 3 Tacos, Pint of Ice Cream) and really suffered today as a result.  In spite of stretching in the evening yesterday, I woke up feeling weak and unmotivated.  I went into the gym and found myself laying on the stall mat thinking about going back to bed, so I went inside.

Over the course of the day I made a point to eat as well as I know how.  I drank plenty of water and made a point to leave work on time.  Walking into my gym at 6:30, I still felt crummy.  I was weak and my head hurt.  So, I went for it:

12k Kettlebell Warm Up
Two Handed Swings: 15 x 16k, 24k, 32k, 32k, 32k, 32k
KB Squats: 5 x BW, 16k, 24k, 16k's, 16k's

At this point, the squats were leaving me dizzy and my head was throbbing.  Humidity in the garage was 100% and my shirt was soaked.  I decided enough was enough and went inside.  I'll do better tomorrow.

On the bright side, my hands felt great when doing the swings with the 24k.  Outside of the work I did Saturday on the kettlebell handle, last night I used a pumice stone on my calluses while soaking in a bath.  It did an excellent job of cleaning off the dead skin.  My hand care program has been seriously lacking without one of these, and I didn't even know it.
